Dr. Stephen Wehrmann, Practice Owner

Dr. Wehrmann graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Zoology and then went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 1980.  He has written many articles regarding companion animal care that have appeared in regional and national publications, and has also lectured at veterinary meetings and dog groups.  Dr. Wehrmann has also hosted a national call in radio program and written a book about dogs.  He has provided quality, compassionate pet care for dogs, cats, and birds for over 28 years and has served as president for both the Pinellas Animal Foundation and the St. Petersburg Emergency Clinic.

Dr. Wehrmann and his wife Susan have three grown children and now share their home with their two dogs, Maizy and Wally, cat Gabby, and an African Gray Parrot named Chloe.

Dr. Steven Sanders, Practice Owner

Dr. Sanders received his Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 1986.  He then received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from The University of Maryland in 1990 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 1996.  He also belongs to the Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine, Phi Zeta.  Dr. Sanders started working at Bayshore in 1996 and has been an owner since 2001.  He is also accredited through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.

Dr. Sanders and his wife, Cindy, share their home with their three boys, and a Leporad Gecko named Bananna.

Dr. Sherrie Demirjian

Dr. Demirjian was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama.  She attended the University of Alabama, Calhoun Community College, and Auburn University for undergraduate and graduate work.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Dairy Science in 2002 and then her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 2007.  Dr. Demirjian started working at Bayshore as a senior veterinary student in March of 2007 and as a doctor in June 2007.  She also works part time at the Animal Emergency Clinic of St. Petersburg.  She has been accredited through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection.

Dr. Demirjian shares her home with her 2 dogs, Corey and Aiden, and her cats Louie and Finnigan.  In her spare time she enjoys scuba diving, wakeboarding, in-line skating, going to the beach, and relaxing.

Carrie

Carrie was born in Ohio and moved to Florida in 1984.  She graduated from St. Petersburg College in 2006 with her Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology.  She is currently enrolled in the Baccalaureate Program in Veterinary Technology at St. Petersburg College.  Carrie joined the Bayshore team in April 2006.  She shares her home with her 6 cats and 2 dogs.


Cathie

Cathie graduated from St. Petersburg College where she obtained both her Associates of Arts and Associate of Science degrees in Veterinary Technology.  She joined the Bayshore team in April of 1998.  In her free time she enjoys rollarblading, swimming, running, and painting.  Cathie shares her home with her husband and their cats, dogs, birds, and snake.


Glenda

Glenda is a native Floridian and has been at Bayshore Animal Hospital since September 1984.  She obtained her Associate of Science degree from St. Petersburg College in 1980.  Glenda enjoys caring for her 4 horses and horseback riding in her spare time.  She currently shares her home with her husband and two teenages daughters.  She has 4 horses, 1 dog, and a cat.

Tara

Tara has been living in Florida since 2000.  She attended St. Petersburg College where she graduated with both an Associates degree, and a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Technology.  Tara started working at Bayshore in 2002.  She left for a period of time to work in specialty practice, but has since returned to join Bayshore once again.  In her spare time she loves to spend time at the beach.  Tara shares her home with her husband and three dogs, Andy, Sersha, and Casey.



Sarah

Sarah was born and raised in Missouri.  While living there she worked at the St. Louis Zoo, however she moved to Florida in 2001 to attend college.  She obtained her Bachelors degree in Environmental Science and Associate degrees in Biology and Human Development from Eckerd College.  Sarah became a receptionist at Bayshore Animal Hospital in September 2005.  She now works both as a receptionist and a veterinary assistant.  Currentally Sarah is enrolled at St. Petersburg College to obtain her Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology.  Someday Sarah hopes to work with wildlife conservation and rescue projects.  In her spare time she enjoys scuba diving, snorkeling, and jet skiing.  She has wonderful pets that were all rescues; a dog named Lucky and a cat named Kole.



Susie

Susie has been a receptionist at Bayshore Animal Hospital since October 1988.  She has worked in the Veterinary field since 1980.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1986 at The University of the South.  In her spare time Susie loves most outdoor activities, especially traditional archery and photography.  Susie is active in The Women in the Outdoors and Bridgepoint Church.  She shares her home with her husband, daughter, and their 2 dogs and 3 cats.


Debi

Debi has been a receptionist at Bayshore Animal Hospital since September 2003.  Prior to joining the Bayshore team, she had worked in the Human Medical field since 1986.  Debi likes to work hard and play harder!  In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, Hockey (Go Lightning!), and online PC games.   She has 3 dogs, 5 cats, 2 birds, and various reptiles.

Natalie

Natalie is a native Floridian and graduated from Shorecrest in 2010.  She attended University of Miami for a year and now attends University of South Florida St. Petersburg.  She is persuing a degree in Microbiology and Pre-Veterinarian Medicine.  Natalie works as both a Receptionist and an Assistant at Bayshore.  She enjoys playing soccer and paddleboarding in her spare time.  Natalie shares her home with 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a rabbit.

 



Ashley

Ashley joined Bayshore Animal Hospital part-time in July 2006 while attending college.  Ashley graduated from Eckerd College with a major in Environmental Studies and a minor in Biology and Psychology in 2007.  Since graduating she has been with the Bayshore team full-time.  In Ashley's own words, "I love working with animals and Bayshore is a great place.  Someday I hope to use some of the skills I learn from Bayshore to do animal conservation."  Ashley has 6 pets: Paulina a tortishell cat, Sharkiss and little stray kitty, Connor and Harriet two little mutt dogs, and two rats, Hona and Peace.  In her spare time Ashley enjoys doing art and exercising.


Tracy

Tracy joined Bayshore in April 2008.  In her own words: "I love animals of all kinds and couldn't think of a better way to spend my day than caring for them."  Tracy shares her home with her husband, 3 daughters, and 1 son.  Their pets include two dogs named Missy and Rosco, 2 cats named Mrs. Kitty and Story, and Alex the bird.


Lisa

Lisa was born in Wyoming, but was raised for the most part in Pennsylvania.  She moved to Florida to attend Eckerd College and recently graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology and an Associates degree in Biology.  She enjoys going to the beach and being outdoors in her spare time.  Lisa shares her home with her two cats, Kaya and Dazey.
